About

Cambodia Trainspotter (created in October 2010) monitors the ADB and AusAID funded rehabilitation of the railways in Cambodia. Close to 4,000 households have been affected by this project and over a quarter were supposed to move to the Trapeang Anhchanh relocation site. Unfortunately, the project has not lived up to the standards of the ADB Involuntary Resettlement Policy, which demands that affected households’ living standards after relocation should be at least equivalent to pre-project levels. Instead, relocated households have assumed unsustainable levels of debt and lost their livelihoods.

  1. Hi Cambodia Trainspotter, my name is Nina and I work for ABC (Australia) in Bangkok. I would like to have a chat to you about Cambodia’s railways – please could you send your phone number to my email address? Thanks so much, Kind regards, Nina
